August
30, 2012 - After a sold out premiere that brought back memories of
Tinseltown's legendary boxing shows of the 1940s and 1950s, Kahren
Harutyunyan's Art of Boxing Promotions in association with Bash Boxing return to the Legendary Florentine Gardens for their second installment of Hollywood Fight Night on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
Local Hollywood welterweight wunderkind Zachary "Kid Yamaka" Wohlman
(4-0, 1KO) will be back as one of the featured attractions of Hollywood
Fight Night 2. "Kid Yamaka," the nickname given by trainers Freddie Roach and Eric Brown
as a reference to Wohlman's Jewish heritage, electrified the capacity
crowd at the last Hollywood Fight Night with a thrilling, unanimous
decision win over tough and rugged Joe Martell. The victory helped earn
Wohlman the cover story in LA WEEKLY, the premiere arts and
entertainment newspaper in Los Angeles.
The early favorite for Fight Of The Night candidate will be a Special Female Coast-To-Coast 6 round battle between Hollywood's Holly "Little Bear" Lawson (4-2, 1KO) and New York's Sarah "The Knockout" Kuhn
(5-2-1, 1KO). Don't let their good looks fool you....both fighters are
ranked Top 10 in the welterweight division and the winner hopes to
catapult her way to a World Title bout and build on the popularity
gained from Women's Boxing in the 2012 London Olympics.
Hollywood Fight Night 2 will also feature the return of towering Los Angeles welterweight Terrell "Tyger" Williams (5-0, 4KOs). One of the pride and joys of the Shadeed Suluki boxing stable, Williams made easy work of journeyman Clifford McPherson
with a flattening1st round knockout on the last Hollywood Fight Night
Show. Team Suluki will have a busy night as two of their Eastern
European prospects, Russian welterweight Alexander Filichkin (10-0, 3 KOs) and Armenian lightweight Vahe Sarahunyan (5-0) will make their Hollwyood Fight Night debuts.
Also making their Hollywood Fight Night debuts will two undefeated welterweights from Robert Garcia's Boxing Club, Carlos Rodriguez (4-0, 1KO) and Neil Arellano (1-0), slick middleweight prospect Louis Rose (4-0), and LA Matadors Cruiserweight Vyacheslav Shabranskyy (Pro Debut, 5-2-1, 1KO in World Series of Boxing).
